Last Monday, July 12, the conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic led for the first time an orchestra in the performance of Carmen, George Bizet’s most famous opera. This event, which also featured the Simón Bolívar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela and a cast headed by the renowned Czech mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kozena, took place in Caracas at the Ríos Reyna Hall of the Teresa Carreño Theater.
